About Me

Megan Cathey, DVM

Veterinarian

I grew up in the Inland Northwest with a love of the natural world. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Then I attended Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009.

While practicing small animal medicine in Spokane, I began to focus more and more on the mental and emotional health of my patients. It was very important to me to make their visit to the veterinarian as comfortable and soothing as possible. As a result, I trained and became certified in Low Stress Handling®, Fear Free® Elite, and Cat Friendly Practice®.

The next step was to extend care with house call services to allow the pets to stay in the comfort of home. I can better serve pets who are frightened of the hospital, have trouble with mobility and travel, and who need extra time. I am excited to care for your pet!
